At Narayana Vidyalayam, environmental learning is an integral part of our holistic education approach. Under RIDS Activity – Action Plan No. 6, students participated in an enlightening session titled “Flora and Fauna Across the World.” The activity, supported by an engaging educational video
(watch here), encouraged young learners to explore the extraordinary diversity of life on our planet.
To help students understand the concept of biodiversity and its global significance.
To create awareness about endangered species and conservation needs.
To develop empathy and responsibility toward protecting nature.
Through vivid visuals and interactive discussions, students travelled virtually from tropical rainforests and grasslands to arctic tundras and coral reefs. They observed how plants and animals adapt to their surroundings and how every species, big or small, plays a vital role in maintaining ecological balance.
Teachers emphasized the importance of preserving our planet’s natural heritage and the role each individual can play in protecting it. The session inspired students to think globally and act locally for environmental sustainability.
Enhanced understanding of global ecosystems and their interdependence.
Increased awareness about environmental conservation and biodiversity protection.
Development of curiosity and appreciation for nature’s beauty and complexity.
The “Flora and Fauna Across the World” activity successfully nurtured environmental consciousness among students, motivating them to value and safeguard the living world around them. Narayana Vidyalayam continues to inspire young minds to become responsible global citizens and stewards of our planet.
